The Marlowe Society was founded within the University of
Cambridge in 1907 with the aim of staging Jacobean repertoire.
Over 100 years later, the society remains
committed to staging classical texts (the annual BME Shakespeare),
fostering connections between the student and professional theatrical
worlds (the Marlowe Showcase and the Marlowe Arts Show) and developing
the skills of early career playwrights (the Marlowe Writers' Group,
Hatch, The Other Prize).
